EXPRESSIVE PORTRAIT/FIGURE

Janice will be doing a "paint-along" of a woman with a bandana and white shirt, along with short exercises and a handout with handy tips on painting faces. 

Fee: $50 ($10 of the fee is for the gallery, so you're helping to support HVAA!)

EXPRESSIVE PORTRAIT 

In this workshop, students will learn dynamic approaches to painting a figure through mini-lessons, including topics such as drawing eyes and lips, using color for mood and feeling, using value for visual impact, and photo-taking for good portraits. 

Instructor, Janice Cipriani-Willis will emphasize composition, value, and her "crossing the lines" technique to evoke an expressive figure painting. Students may copy the demo painting or bring their own source material to work from.
